I like monovarietal, they are averagely tough wines and with character. In order to produce a wine in purity, you must be able to interpret the grape organoleptic characteristics throughout the production chain, if you make some mistake you risk that its qualities will change in faults. At the same time, however, if you treat them as you should and if you respect their limits, they allow you in the vinification steps to give your distinctive mark in the winemaking process. Even though they represent a good challenge, they allow me to obtain wines that I feel like my own, on a character level and as an expression of the Bolgheri territory.
Terre del Marchesato, however, is not a winery that produces only monovarietal, our range includes three blends that reflect the typical local production: an IGT Toscana Rosso (Inedito), a DOC Bolgheri Rosso (Emilio Primo Rosso) and a DOC Bolgheri Superiore (Marchesale).
Among our excellences, I would also like to mention our Muffato (Nobilis), a truly unique wine that we produce from a few selected rows of our vineyards of Vermentino, and our two distillates, a Grappa and a Brandy.
